Fletcher crucial for Scotland – Strachan

The Manchester United midfielder has suffered from a chronic bowel complaint which has kept him out for the best part of two years and has undergone surgery in a bid to finally clear the illness for good.

In a statement issued by the Scottish FA, Strachan said: “On behalf of the Scotland supporters, the national squad and backroom team, I wish Darren the best of luck in his recovery from the surgery that has been confirmed by his club.

“I spoke with Darren on Tuesday and know that the decision to have the operation has been taken in the interests of his long-term health and with the full backing of the medical staff at Manchester United. (more…)

Wenger 'surprised' by Guardiola's move to Bayern

The former Barcelona manager will replace Jupp Heynckes at the Allianz Arena in the summer, and Wenger claims that the 41-year-old had enquired about the Premier League with a view to moving there in the future.

The Frenchman told reporters: “He asked me a few times and he told me a few times that he would like to come to England so I’m a bit surprised that he has chosen to go to Germany.
But, honestly, Bayern Munich is an interesting club. Germany is an interesting league, well-managed.

“It’s defendable what he has done, tomorrow’s football will be played in Germany, certainly.” (more…)

Liverpool could of sell it Daniel Agger

Manager of the Liverpol admitted that Dainel Agger was not convinced to stay at Liverpool for the upcoming season instead of his wish to keep the defender.  He said that Manchester City administrator has made two inquires regarding Agger for this summer and they would be willing to bid around £18m for the Agger’s services.

Liverpool’s manager said that he do not want to lose the services of the defender, but like any other club if any good offer comes and which is in a best interests of the club than, it is essential to look at it. Looking it from the football perspective, I am sure that I do not want to lose Daniel Agger, he added. (more…)

Stoke City waiting for the Robert Hulth results

Stoke City team are awaiting the results from hospital test for their defender Robert Huth which was struck down with an unknown virus. Robert Hulth was sent to the hospital after he has reported to the club`s training complex on Monday.

Stoke are hoping that their German player will be able for the start of Stoke`s Premier League campaign on august 18th.

Manager Tony Pulis told for the clubs official website that this is a major concern for the Stoke City, because of the start of the new season and Hulth it is a very important player to the Stoke City.
